Introductory Lesson: We need to know who you are and you need to know who we are. You will spend the next 20 - 30 minutes writing a poem about who you are called "I am YOUR NAME" and then follow the directions for each line in this six line three stanza poem. You will do it on paper then in WORD on the computer (save as iam.doc). When you are done you will share the poem with the class. As each scholar reads hir poem, pay attention and keep notes because you will be writing a summary about your classmates. Your poem and summary will be handed in for your first grade.

Be creative, use ryhmes, alliteration, metaphors, and other poetic terms you know. Since this is about you, be honest and careful. Have fun!!
