 Two atomic bombs were dropped in Japan, 1945. Both Nagasaki and 
Hiroshima,the number of dead persons were about one hundred and ninety 
thousand, after the bomb was dropped for five years about three 
hundred and fourty thousand were dead. Injured persons were about one 
hundred and sixty thousand, Missing peoples were about four thousand. 
 theirs family feel sad and they hope that every one know this.

 I would like to write about nuclear weapon.51 years have passed since an atomic 
bomb was dropped on Hiroshima.A ceremony for peace was held to commemorate the 
tragedy.At the ceremony,children swore,"We will strive for peace."But many 
survivors of the atomic bombing lamented,"Is the truth about the atomic bomb really 
known by young people these days?"
 Following this,an instructor at Okinawa's U.S.armed forces base,Susan Beaucora 
explaimed,"I remember feeling the shame of how so many people died as a result of 
the atomic bomb.I want to tell children about the things I saw in Hiroshima."
 The 16 year old girl who came to speak on behalf of the peace movement said,"Why 
do we have nuclear experiments?I'd like the government to take pride of being the 
only country to be exposed to an atomic bomb and it's resolve in opposing it's 
use."

  Last summar,I read about the second world war in the news paper.After fifty 
years,
 a Japanese national flag was returned to a woman,89 years old,whose brother was 
killed
 in the World war 2.The flag was his remembrance for her.His name is Yoshiyuki 
Kuwayama
 who had lived in Tsushima city.When he was sent to the battlefield,the flag was 
 presentted by a master of the Tsushima shurine praying for his 
safety,Mr.Kuwayama was   twenty seven years old when he was killed in the 
Philippines on March twentyth in       1945.His deep desire to come back to his 
native city come true in the form of the       flag.
  I think that War brings unhappiness and the dead people's memory.War should 
never

 Do you think that the atomic bomb dropped on Japan was to finish the war?
I did not think so.American critics said,"we have good things for Japan."
But atomic bombs are very bod things rather than good things for Japan. 
Japan turned to be American's test site.
 On the 6th of August 1945,the Americans dropped an atomic bomb on Hiroshima 
and 3days late another bomb was dropped on Nagasaki.It was a very strong bomb,
about two hundred thousand people,the cities and much nature disappeared.It
happened in a moment.
 People barely survived,50 years away now,They are still suffering from 
aftereffects of the radioactivity.(for example,leukemia,liver 
disorder,cancer,etc.) And it have been transmitted to vicim's children.

 Now I will write about "Tourou Nagashi"
On August 6th,"Tourou Nagashi" was held at the river near the Peace Memoriai Park in
Hiroshima.About two thousand people gathered and floated the tourou,a kind of lantern
on the river.The lanterns were lit from the Peace Torch which had been burning in the 
Peace Memorial Park.Ten thousand lanterns were prepared for the ceremony.
This news had been informed on the Inter net to people in your country.Some of the 
lanterns were from your country.Everyone prayed for world peace.
  
 "Tourou Nagwshi"is floating paper lanterns.The paper lanterns have lighted candles
inside,and people float them on a river to console their ancestors'souls.
 

I think we must never forget about the war.We must never forget that a lot of atomic 
bomb victims are still suffering.I wish that "Tourou Nagashi"will be held every summer
for ever.I am afraid that Japan people are beginning to forget about the war.
I think that Japanese people should realize the present peace was given at the 
sacrifice of many lives before we appeal about atomic bomb to other countries.

 It might be easy that you use the atomic bombs.
 You can kill a lot of people and destroy a lot of towns and villages easily like you 
are playing a video game. However, the people who were killed and injured by it were 
really there, and they never return to life.
 To people who believe that using atomic bombs was best at World War 2.        
 Certainly,without the atomic bombs the people may have been killed by other ways.But I 
think it's terrible there in Hiroshima and Nagasaki more than you can imagine.
 It seems to be possile that humans can make a hell.I sincerely hope humans will be 
able to make a paradise,not a hell.

Hello,I am Chieko Sato,a tudent at Hikarigaoka high School,a 17year 
old girl.My favorite subject is English so I studied it in New Zealand 
for a year.Also I am interested in politics so much.I like listening 
to music and watching movies,my favorite actor is Leonaldo DiCaprio.He 
is great,isn't he.Any way this summer,I am going to the States, 
of,course New York.

A few years ago,the atomic bomb show was going to be held at 
Sumisonian Meuseum.I wondered why it wasn't held,but now I guess that 
if it had been held ,there would have been something wrong with the 
way that the United States was preserfed,or they might have got afraid 
of that American's thought that the atomic bomb attac was wrong. What 
do you think about it?
After the war, Japan was the only country that has suffered from the 
atomic bomb.However Japan has done nothing against the atomic bomb and 
nuclear eregg. Also Japan discriminates against the people who were 
victim of the atomic bomb. Some people has leakaenia,Some people has 
keloid.They and their familiees are ostracized by the other people.For 
the Cancer patients, the sickness was passed on to their children or 
their grand-children.The war finished more than 50years ago. However 
some people's war hasn't finisfed yet. Their health still isn't 
fine,neither is their mind,I think the war,including atomic bomb must 
be hated forever,and that we must put a stop to atomic weapons.

 Hello.My name is Emi Sasaki. I'm a student of HIKARIGAOKA 
Girls High shool. I'm 17 years old.
I like pop muic,musical and reading books.
In this summer I'll go to America to study abroad for a year.
I'll arrive at Michigan July 21.

 At the end of Eorld War II,two aomic bombs were dropped
over he cities of Hiroshima ans Nagasaki by he American 
military forces. These were the first and only cases 
in the hitory of mankind that atomic bombs were used. 
It is established that 90,000-120,000 people died 
in or within four months of the explosion at 
Hiroshima; at Nagasaki,it was 60,000-70,000.
Thousands more who survived the blasts have died from its
effects,or are still suffering today from raditation
poisoning and other injuries.

 Determined that such tragedy will never be repeated,
many people gather on August 6th,9th and 15th at Atomic Bomb
Memorial Parks in Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

I think using the nuclear weapons has to be stopped.
But some of you think it is no problem. Thinking about the nuclear bomb dropped on 
Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945, it is true that that did stop the 2nd World War.
but do you know what exactry happened? I hear it was awful, and should not be done 
again.
Sorry for my poor English, but I just want to give my opinion.

Hello. My name is Asako Oiwa.I'm a Hikarigaoka Girl's High School 
student. When I was a first grade, the year which the fiftieth year
after the World War II.
So I studied "Be dropped an atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagaaki".
The best way was Japan surrendered to U.S.A. earlier.
However,it didn't. If an atomic bomb hadn't been dropped,the war would 
must be longer.
So I thought it was good that an atomic bomb was dropped.
In spite of only the stricken area all over the world,I think they're 
not concerned with an atomic bomb in Japan.
